99 red balloons go by...

We have had the most beautiful fall in Saskatchewan. The weather was hot, the sun was shining and the color of the autumn leaves were absolutely breath taking. Hence the amazing backdrop!!

If you are a regular follower of my blog, it probably seems like I have been posting a lot of pictures of this tank top. Well, it is true, I have been, but only because I love it. My mom always told me that if you love something, you should be allowed to wear it as much as you would like. And this is definitely the case with  this tank top!! I just can't seem to get enough of the   sweet little stripes and the soft form fitting cotton that seem to look amazing with everything I pair it with!

Pretty Pretty Peonies

I had such a lovely weekend with my sister and her family in Regina. And as such, I recruited my sister to be my blogger assistant for the weekend!!! So, not only did I convince her to take my weekly photos but she also did my make-up!! Although she has a professional day job, she secretly loves  everything about make-up! And if you ask me, I think that she did a splendid job with me!! Welcome to her photo/make-up  debut!!

It is currently the season for peonies in Saskatchewan. And since my sister has the most amazing peonies in her front yard, I couldn't miss the opportunity to take some photos of them!! I think a bouquet of pink peonies would be so lovely for a wedding. I wanted these for my wedding, but sadly they were out of season when we got married. But, I will definitely have these for my second wedding (Dominic and I had so much fun at our first wedding that we have decided that we will get married every ten years. Why not right?)!

Shirt: Mexx (my sister's)

P.S - We also took some pics of my sister and since I absolutely love the 70's vibe of shot,  I  thought I would share it with you!!

It's All A Blur........

It seems that there is a saying for everything in Newfoundland. When somebody is not from the island, or leave leave the island, they say that they are from 'away' or they are coming from 'away'. Since Dominic is still 'away' in Newfoundland and I have had numerous failed attempts at taking my blog photos with my tripod, I have been recruiting others to take photos for me. This week, I was able to recruit my mom to take the photos and although many of them were a little blurry, I am super grateful for her help. Plus, it is always nice to get some fresh advice on where to take photos. We found this little ultra Saskatchewan motel/bar in a nearby town. Luckily the bar was closed or true to rural Saskatchewan I would have had a large audience!!

I picked up this Lee Jean Jacket for $5 the other day. And although I already had a jean jacket, I just couldn't leave it behind. It seems that I am slowly and maybe rather quickly, accumulating a collection of vintage finds that I don't need but are just too cool to leave behind. As such, I have been thinking about starting an etsy shop with all of my great vintage finds - clothing and other great vintage goodies of course. I am however a wee bit hesitant as it seems as though a lot of the bloggers that have started stores have now closed them. What are thoughts - do you have an etsy store or would you like to have one??

Color Your World

One thing I learned on my semester abroad in Sweden, is that scarves are a necessity for every outfit!!! I mean not only do they keep you warm but they give your outfit that chic twist that makes you and your outfit unique!! Plus, who doesn't look fantastic with a little bit on color by their face!!

So, if you are feeling like you need to update your wardrobe, just go out and buy a new scarf or an old thrifted one which nobody else will have, except you!! I found this gorgeous scarf at Winners and I can't seem to get enough of it. I love the multitude of colors and the Southwest Pattern which seem to  make every one of my outfits feel like Spring.

Repetto Shoes

It seems as though many of my posts this week have been inspired by the ballerina trend!! So I thought I would finish the week off with some of my favorite ballerina inspired shoes. Originally created for ballerinas, Repetto, located in Paris France, has a line of shoes for dancers as well as a fashion line. I have a red pair of these flats and absolutely love them as they compliment any wardrobe. Plus, I think that any of these flats would be perfect for both the ballet and color blocking trends this season. As you cannot order these beauties from Repettos online site, you can get them Canada's very own Gravity Pope. If you haven't heard of this store before, you should check it out online. It is definitely one of the best shoe stores I have ever been to.
