We have met so many wonderful people in St. John's since we have moved here. One of our friends, who is from England has been so happy because his girlfriend is here visiting and we were fortunate enough to hang out with her. Not only was she dressed amazingly but she had the most beautiful jewelry I have ever seen. Upon asking here where she got it from, she told me it was Alex Monroe, an English Designer and I was instantly in love. The collection is so whimsical as it entails everything from beautiful birds and bees to enchanted little watering cans!! Make sure to check it out!! I know that I have just started my savings account to one of these beauties!!

These rings are from the Eyebright Collection and are only just a glimpse of what the collection has to offer!!  I love the aquamarine one in the middle!!

And of course, since I  spend my summer working with bees, I am absolutely smitten with this little bee necklace!! I would love, love love to have one!!

Copenhagen is Calling My Name!!!

Although I have never been to Copenhagen, I find myself dreaming about the beautifully designed buildings overlooking the historical canals and cobble stone squares. Known for their  modern design, I feel like the city is just waiting to be discovered by me!! Next to Paris, this is on the top of my list of places to visit!!

St.James Nautical Shirt

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. We are busy with Christmas and of course getting ready for our big move across the country. Although I have already bought all of my Christmas presents, I thought this St.James Nautical Shirt would be a great gift for a sister/in-law or a friend. I know I would love to have one!!!

I have a similar one from Zara and I have worn it in so many different ways. I especially love how it gives the entire outfit a casual look even with the pearls and the Chanel inspired cardigan.

The Return of The Long John

Living anywhere in Canada, but especially in Saskatchewan, it is extremely important to incorporate warmth into your fall/winter/spring wardrobes. I have finally decided that I have seen way too many girls wearing tank tops, mini skirts, and pumps, shivering in the blistering cold to not write a small piece about dressing for the weather. And since I am constantly searching for beautiful accessories to keep me warm, I thought I would like to post a short series of my favorite ways to keep warm while looking good at the same time.  Because you shouldn't have to sacrifice your warmth for style.

I wanted to start with these super cool long underwear. Designed by Sara Torrie, a Canadian designer based out of Toronto, who, in search of her own long underwear, began crafting long underwear from recycled cashmere and merino wool sweaters.  The result of her endeavors are a versatile line of colorful, warm, comfortable and stylish long johns which can be worn underneath your clothes or layered under a mini skirt!! Ballet Mini!!

I feel like it has been a long time since I have really fallen in love with a piece of clothing!!! That is why I was sooo ecstatic to see this beauty of a skirt. Ballerina inspired, this pink tutu like skirt from Designers Remix Collection is definitely on my Christmas Wish List!!

Annabelle at Etsy

For the past few years I have gotten into a habit of falling in love with a specific chain and pendant and as a result I end up wearing it everyday. I usually become attached to it  and wear it until it breaks or I lose it. Well, this dilemma has recently come upon me as I lost my favorite Pyrrah pendant while I was out for my morning run and I have been missing it so. I have been trying to decide if I should buy another Pyrrah or just buy a different necklace all together. 


Nevertheless, I have been searching the web for a replacement peice and I came up with these lovely pieces at BrideBlu on etsy!! They are Aren't they pretty??

Swedish Has Beens

I have been eyeing up both clogs and peep toe sandals all summer and I have yet to buy some!!! But seeing as they are going to make such a nice transition into fall/winter, I feel like I am ready to make the big purchase!!! And although I think the Swedish has beens are the ones for me, it seems I am unable to decide which color and which style I want. If I money was no issue for me, I would buy them all but that is just not the case so I am doomed to make a decision!!

I think the peep toe style in both Black and Natural are amazing!! But which color would be better for fall/winter???? I am thinking black but I really love the Natural ones!!!

The other option I am considering are the covered clogs!!! I love these ones because they are classic and I know I will still love them in years to come!!! Plus, I think they will keep my toes a bit warmer in the harsh Canadian winters!!

I thought by dedicating this post to the clogs I would have made my decision, yet it seems that I am no closer than when I started!! What do you think???

Christian Dior's Princess Ballerina

There is something alluring about yards and yards of pink tulle. It reminds me of dancing around in my sister's, much too big for me, ballet tutu for hours pretending I was a ballerina princess. For me, tulle creates a whimsical yet chic design, which sort of brings me back to that moment in time when anything and everything was possible. If I could, I  would wear princess inspired couture everyday of my life!!!

This may be why I love this ballerina inspired pink tulle dress at Decades Inc. Circa 1950, the dress bears the newly expanded New York label which was intended to provide america with the 'New Look'. After WWII the new look which, encompassed long skirts and an over-use of fabric was a much needed change from the fabric rations during war time. The long length of the dress and the excessive use of tulle are reminisent of this time.

I am sure that by now, most of my readers have figured out that I have a love for beautiful bikes. I came across another great line of bikes called Adeline Adeline which, as their slogan suggests, "is a very nice bike shop." I can just picture myself riding down the streets of Paris on this bike - maybe one day!!

Click your Clogs!!

No longer are the days that clogs are solely for the Dutch, this season they have made a huge comeback on the runway!! Among the many other amazing pieces, Chanel's Spring 2010 was full of wonderful clogs of all colors from white to red and heels from short to tall and I love them all!!

And, I think I have found the perfect pair for me - for more of a reasonable price!!!
