DIY Crocheted Basket

It is always a great experience to go into a home that has  a  collection of handmade items. Not only does it give the home some character but it also gives you a small glimpse into who the  home owner really is. I have been searching for a nice magazine rack lately and  I love the idea of this home-made one. And although I don't know how to knit or crochet, I may recruit my mom to make one for me! Here are the DIY instructions if you feel like making one yourself!

Chevron Friendship Bracelets

What are your plans for the weekend? I have been feeling like doing something creative for the past little while,  so this weekend I am planning to teach myself how to make a chevron  friendship bracelet. 
Honestly WTF has a great step-by-step tutorial that I have been wanting to try for a long time. And since I bought all of the required supplies this week, I am ready to go. Hopefully I will have a finished product to show you by Monday!! Have a great weekend!

DIY Hanging Plant Holder

I am looking for things to spruce up our new house here in Victoria and I think this lovely DIY from Refinery 21 would be a great addition to our cute little porch!! 

Any plans for the weekend? We are having some visitors in from the other side of the Island which we are really looking forward to. We are planning to make a lovely Italian meal with homemade pasta, potato and rosemary pizza and maybe some lemon dessert. Hope you have something exciting planned this weekend!

DIY Book Shelf

Since we arrived back at our little Swedish Cottage, I have realized that we have way too many books and no place to put them. I love the idea of this book shelf and it would be super easy to make. If I have some time over Christmas I am going to attempt to make something similar!

DIY Barn Yard Headboard

I first saw this DIY ove at Design Sponge and I immedielty fell in love. I have actually been searching for a headboard to buy for our spare bedroom and I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect than this! Plus, I think it would be a super fun project!! What do you think, would you ever make it??

Do It Yourself - Pin Cushion

It is getting to be that time of year when it is starts to get colder and darker and suddenly indoor projects seem to be that much more appealing. When I saw this cute little project a few weeks ago, I knew that it would be a perfect winter project not only because it its relatively easy but it is super functional and I think it would instantly add to the decor of any sewing room. Plus, you can replace the color of the fabric and spools inside to match the decor of your room.
